Training and Coaching Clinic for Academic Professional Development with a Visiting Top Scientist

Within the Framework of the EQUITY Program (The Impact Ranking) – Visiting Top Scientist, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang | June 1–4, 2026
The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), is organizing a Visiting Top Scientist Program featuring Prof. Aris A. Syntetos, Research Professor of Decision Science at Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University.
In addition to strengthening academic expertise and research publication capacity, this program is designed to support the continuing professional development (CPD) requirements of certified lecturers in accordance with the latest regulations. Certified lecturers are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of professional development training annually, and evidence of participation serves as one of the prerequisites for the disbursement of the professional allowance (Sertifikasi Dosen/Serdos) in the following year.
To enable participants to fulfill the full 20 training hours through a single integrated program, the activities are structured as a comprehensive training package rather than a conventional seminar. The program combines face-to-face training sessions, field studies, and supervised structured assignments, culminating in tangible outputs in the form of scientific manuscript drafts suitable for submission to reputable academic journals.
